11:00 am - 12:30 pm | Eastside, WA*
Being able to spot danger is the first step in keeping yourself and your loved ones safe. Join a free course where you will learn the skills to recognize threats and respond with confidence. This essential in-person security training is designed for all members of the Jewish community, with no prior security experience required.
The Federation’s Security Director, Lee Yates, will guide you through BeAware™, an Introduction to Situational Awareness, where you’ll learn to:
- Recognize suspicious behavior and threats.
- Report suspicious activity effectively.
- Be an active participant in your community’s safety.
Whether you’re in synagogue, at work, or going about your day, being prepared to identify and respond to threats is an act of care for yourself, your family, and our broader Jewish community—and it only takes 90 minutes.
*For security, the location will be shared closer to the event.
Please RSVP by Friday, March 27, 2026.
