Community Security Training: Countering Active Threat

Learn how to keep yourself and your community safe with this comprehensive training program. The Federation’s Security Director, Lee Yates, will introduce you to the principles of responding during an active shooter or active threat environment. This course is designed for faith-based institutions and houses of worship and follows the national standard curriculum: RUN, HIDE, FIGHT.


Topics Covered:

  • Defining an active threat and how to better prepare for an incident
  • Identifying a situation in which Run, Hide, or Fight might be used
  • Proper responses to the arrival of law enforcement
  • Committing to personal action during an active threat incident

*For security, the location will be shared closer to the event.
